Engineering Defects
The Engineering Defect Report establishes cause, remedy and cost to rectify specific defects. It provides links to Buildings Insurer requirements where applicable. It can be commissioned in order to establish a solution to a building defect problem and to evaluate effects of damage to a property.
The Engineering Defect Report is a report on a specific defect previously highlighted at the property during an early survey. It will be prepared in a standard format by a qualified Engineer, Structural Surveyor or Chartered Building Professional.
The Engineer will provide an impartial opinion that can be used and relied upon by a prospective buyer and the seller.
