Energy Performance Certificate
From June 1st 2007, the Energy Performance Certificate becomes a mandatory part of the Home Information Pack for people selling their homes.
An energy rating for a home can be compared to a ‘miles per gallon (mpg)’ figure for your car. The energy rating has used ‘standard occupancy’ to make assumptions about how many people live in the home and how they use the property.
Considerations are given to the energy efficiency and effectiveness of construction including walls, roofs and windows and heating and hot water source and supply.
Measures to reduce the running costs at a property and how to improve the comfort of the occupants are also suggested within the report.
We are partnered with a Government accredited body for the issue and endorsement of Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) ratings.
